A Sexy Nerd Boys Bonus Scene: Abby and Ethan’s Engagement

Be sure to read how Ethan and Abby met and fell in love in Worth the Wait.

“Please tell me my surprise is something kinky.”

I laugh, as I slap Ethan’s hand away from the blindfold he keeps trying to adjust so he can peek under.

“You have such a one track mind,” I accuse, tugging him forward so I can steer him into the empty building, Ethan’s surprise. My stomach is tying itself in knots wondering what his reaction will be. Even more than that, what I’ve done is a huge commitment for us. This is at least as major as marriage.

“Guilty. But, you have to admit, blindfolding me seems like it should lead to something kinky. In fact, if this isn’t kinky then I’m saving this blindfold for some light bondage later.”

“Yeah, good luck getting me to agree to that.”

“You forget how persuasive I can be.” His breath tickles the back of my neck and gives me goosebumps. He can be damn persuasive, that’s a fact.

“Can I give you your surprise now, or do you want to keep up with all the raunch?”

“Do I really have to choose?” He reaches out and pulls me against his chest. I don’t even try to resist. Why would I resist the sexy, amazing, love of my life kissing me any time he wants? His lips land on mine with a few teasing pecks and nips.

“I love you,” he whispers against my lips.

“I know,” I tease, pulling back and removing his blindfold. He blinks several times and looks around the empty room we’re standing in. His brow furrows as he tries to put the pieces together.

“We’re at The Wookie? Why is it empty?”

“Well, it used to be The Wookie,” I hedge. Ethan raises an eyebrow at me and I grab the paperwork off the bar and hold it out to him. “Once you sign these papers it’s our bar, and we can name it whatever we want.”

“What?” Ethan takes the papers from my hands and reads them with a look of consternation on his face. I chew on the cap of the pen in my hand, waiting to hear what he has to say.

“I don’t understand,” he finally says after reading through the paperwork several times.

“I used the money I had from the accident to buy the bar. I didn’t spend all of it, but we will probably have to take out a loan to get everything up and running.”

Ethan continues to frown, not the reaction I was hoping for.

“This is our dream,” I reach out and touch his arm.

“You spent all of your money on this?”

“Well, not all of it.”

Ethan gives me a ‘cut the shit’ look and I hold my hands up defensively.

“This is too much Abby, for you to buy a bar like this, it’s too much.”

“I don’t understand why it’s too much? I can spend my money on anything I want. And, now that we live together we’re sharing all of our bills, it’s joint money really.”

“I mean, maybe if we were married or something…” he trails off.

“Okay,” the word slips past my lips before I can think about it. Did I really just say ‘okay’ to getting married? Ethan’s head snaps up and his ice blue eyes burn with intensity.

“What?”

“Okay, let’s get married,” I say more firmly this time.

“Oh no, hell no.”

“What?” It’s my turn to be confused.

“Nope, no, no, no.” He shakes his head as he puts the paperwork down on the bar and makes his way towards the exit.

“Ethan, wait!”

“No, I fully support all of your feminist dictates, but you are not going to take this from me.”

He’s gone before I can figure out what he’s saying, let alone respond. I blow out a frustrated breath and gather the paperwork into a neat pile. I don’t technically need his signature, but I want this place to be as much his as it is mine, regardless who put up the cash for it. I kind of thought we were in this for the long haul, shared finances and all.

I know it’s childish, but after the weird way Ethan and I leave things I decide to go to Lee and Nikki’s apartment, my old apartment, instead of home to Ethan. Once he decides to stop being such a jerk he can come find me.

“What’s up sourpuss?” Lee asks when I barge in, grousing under my breath.

 “Your brother.”

“Aw, did the lovebirds have a fight?” Nikki teases.

I sigh and plop down on the couch.

“I don’t even really know what he’s mad about. I, uh, bought The Wookie and when I took him over there to surprise him he kinda flipped out.”

“I feel like I’m missing part of the story here,” Lee says, eyeing me suspiciously.

I shrug, refusing to admit that I more or less proposed in the world’s least romantic fashion.

“You guy’s will work it out, you’re meant for eachother,” Lee assures me with a kiss on the head.

Nikki, Lee, and I spend the next few hours pigging out on junk food and watching chick flicks. As the sun starts to set Lee gets a text message. My heart beats faster hoping it’s Ethan. I look at my own phone and see no notifications.

“Oh, I just remembered there’s supposed to be a meteor shower tonight, let’s go watch it from the roof,” Lee says suddenly. Nikki and I both look at her like she’s grown a second head.

“What?” I didn’t even know this building has roof access.

“Come on,” Lee urges, ignoring my questioning looks.

Lee shuffles me up onto the roof and as soon as I’m through the door I stop in my tracks. Ethan stands under an archway decorated with white Christmas lights.

“Ethan, What’s going on?” I ask, making my way towards him on shaky legs.

A nervous smile plays on the corners of Ethan’s lips as he holds out a hand for me to take. As soon as I take his hand he pulls me forward and gently kisses my temple before tilting my head so I’m looking into his eyes. His Adam’s apple bobs as he swallows nervously and then lets out a shaky breath.

“Red, I’m sorry I was a total dick earlier. I’ve been trying to work up to this for a little while now but I’ve been trying to think of the perfect thing to say. And, I’ve honestly been terrified you would turn me down flat. I’m still not sure exactly what to say and I’m hoping to hell you don’t say ‘no’.” A nervous bark of a laugh escapes his lips before he steps back just and inch and takes my hands in his.

“What are you talking about?” My stomach is jumping with anticipation. I think I know what this is, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions.

“I love you more than I ever thought possible, Red. You’ve changed my life, you’ve made me a better man.” He pulls a small, velvet box out of his pocket and drops to one knee. “Be my wife.”

I let out a laugh, unshed tears burning my eyes.

“Is that a question?”

“Hell no,” Ethan says with another smile, offering the beautiful solitaire ring up to me. I take it from his hands and notice an engraving inside of the band. Together…

I raise my eyebrows in question and Ethan stands, holding his left hand out for me to look at. On the side of his ring finger is a fresh tattoo. …Or not at all.

“You are such a nerd, I fucking love you.”

He slips the ring onto my finger and pulls me against him for a bone melting kiss.

“I fucking love you back.”

Impossible Girl (Sexy Nerd Boys 2.5) Sneak Peak

I’m excited to share with you all a sneak peak of Impossible Girl (Sexy Nerd Boys 2.5) which is Dex and Remy’s story!
Cover design was done by Mae’s Wicked Grafix (find her on facebook).

Below is the first chapter of Impossible Girl (final edits not done so please excuse any errors). Be sure to check out the rest of their story in Impossible Girl.

Chapter 1

Remy
“Ugh, fuck me,” I groan to myself. I press my palms to my eyelids, silently willing the hangover to recede.

“Been there, done that,” The naked man lying beside me says with a smirk. I try to recall his name. Mark, Mike, Matt? Who the fuck cares anyways. He was exceptionally awkward and unskilled in bed. And, I am certainly not interested in a repeat. I peel myself away from him and snatch my clothes up off of the floor.

“Why are you in such a rush sweetcheeks? Come back to bed, we can have another go before I have to get to class.” He waggles his eyebrows at me suggestively while I swallow back the bile rising in my throat.

“I’m all set, thanks,” I mutter as I pull my clothes on quickly and scurry out of his bedroom. I’m met with several pairs of eyes as I descend the stair of the frat house. Oh the walk of shame. Although, honestly, it’s not so bad when you’re not actually ashamed.

“Morning boys.” I shoot a flirty smile at each of the three guys.

“Oh Rem, not Mitch, I’m heartbroken,” One of the guys jokes. Mitch that was his name.

“Sorry, Jake, you’ll just have to try your luck with me at the next party.” I wink at him before sauntering out of the house.

Slut, whore, skank, easy. You name it I’ve heard it. My favorite is when girls whisper it behind my back as though I can’t hear, or I don’t know that having casual sex with random guys makes me worthy of gossip. But, why the hell are guys allowed to have random sex but girls are ‘dirty’ if they do?

I honestly don’t care. Because, I learned one thing at a young age: if you want guys to notice you, then appeal to their hormones. Granted, this has gotten me attention from plenty of guys who turned out not to be worth my time. But, I have a solution for that, too; don’t get emotionally involved. It’s a bullshit double standard is what it is. And, I’m breaking through that glass ceiling, one random hook up at a time.

When you get down to it we’re animals with needs and there’s nothing wrong or unnatural with fulfilling your primal desires. If anything, there’s something unnatural with monogamy. It doesn’t work, at least not that I’ve ever seen.

Take my mom for example. She thought that she fell in love when she was seventeen, next thing she knows she’s knocked up and alone because the dude took off before she could even say ‘call me’.

That’s dear old dad. I’ve never actually met the guy. But, I did met husbands one through four, all of whom lasted no longer than 18 months. So, when girls get all misty eyed over guys who they just ‘love so much’…I think I’ll pass.

*****

I shield my eyes and look up at the enormous brick building looming before me, taunting me. ‘you’re a moron’ the uppity building snears. I roll my eyes, I need to get my shit together. I hold my head up high and force myself forward. I avert my gaze from the words on the side of the building, Tutoring Center.

Stop judging me.

I reach for the door handle I stop myself and consider turning around and going home. Maybe it won’t be the end of the world if I fail calculus. I mean, sure I won’t be able to complete my degree requirements for microbiology. And, my dreams will be shattered. But, surely that would be better than admitting I’m too stupid to pass the class without a tutor wouldn’t it?

My phone buzzes in my pocket.

Nikki: Don’t chicken out, tons of people get tutoring. You’ve got this.

I can’t stop the smile that spreads across my face.

Remy: How did you know I was about to turn around and go home?

Nikki: twintuition

I tuck my phone back in my pocket and clutch the door handle forcefully. I can’t disappoint Nikki, my twin sister and the only person in the world I actually care about.

I’ve often envied my sister for being a lesbian. Wait, that came out wrong. What I mean is that she seems to have found the girl of her dreams. And, they’re going to go off and get married and I’ll be all alone. I’m not bitter.

“How can I help you?” I’m greeted by the cheery middle aged woman behind the reception desk as soon as I step into the air conditioned building.

It’s September in Colorado and it’s still hot as balls outside. I’m wearing a tank top and barely there shorts and am still covered in sweat from my short walk to campus.

“I need a calculus tutor,” I say with a blush. I gnaw at my bottom lip as she begins to type on her computer, presumably trying to find me a tutor. Or posting on facebook about how stupid I am.

“You’re in luck, I have a tutor who’s actually available right now if you’d like,” She announces with a smile.

I nod once.

“Alright, just head to the second floor and you want the second door on the left. Ask for Dexter.”

“Thank you.”

I find the stairs and head to the second floor. When I reach the second door on the left I pause outside the door and wrestle with myself again. Do I really need to do this? So I failed the first exam, maybe if I just study harder for the second exam tutoring won’t be necessary at all.

Just as I’m about to turn around and leave the door swings open and a wall of muscle just about bowls me over.

“Whoa where’s the fire,” I snap as strong hands reach out to steady me.

“Oh shit, Sorry darlin’.” The deep southern drawl kicks up my heart rate and I look up to see who this man is who just nearly ran me over.

His blond hair is messy like he’s been running his hands through it, his eyes are chocolate brown and filled with remorse. His strong jaw is covered with stubble. He’s built solid like a brick wall and his strong jaw is like something out of a western. Like a real live cowboy. Yee-haw.

“Damn, you must be a long lost Hemsworth brother.”

I look up at him through my eyelashes and stick my chest out so my cleavage is on full display. Come on cowboy, you know you want this.

He chuckles at me and takes a step back running a hand through his already tangled mane of hair.
“Were you looking for someone darlin’?”

Looking for someone? Absolutely. I’ve been looking for someone as dead sexy as him my entire life. Given the proper amount of time I could absolutely blow his mind. I lick my lips and take a step closer to him again.

“In the math tutoring department?” He clarifies.

Oh, damn, I forgot I actually came here for a reason other than to pick up a sexy cowboy to ride all day long.

“Oh, yes. I was looking for Dexter.”

“Actually, I prefer Dex.” He extends a hand and I take it awkwardly.

Great, like I’m going to be able to learn a damn thing from sexy cowboy man.

“Is this a bad time? Were you on your way out?” That would be perfect then I could leave and never, ever come back.

“Actually, I was just in desperate need of a caffeine fix.”

“Oh, well, I certainly understand the urgency of your exit then.”

He chuckles and runs his hand through his hair again. I have the desperate urge to run my own hands through his hair.

“I certainly wouldn’t object to some coffee.”

“Perfect, let’s go get some coffee and discuss your tutoring needs.” He places his hand on the small of my back to lead me out and heat spreads through my body.

Dex

It’s been three years and two months since I made a commitment to change my ways. And, it really wasn’t all that difficult until this moment. I honestly thought I was a changed man. But, now that I’ve seen this gorgeous vixen, plucked straight from a fantasy world, I realize  it wasn’t that it had been easy to change. I hadn’t been truly tempted until this moment.

The moment I laid eyes on her long black hair, her deep melted chocolate eyes, soft tan skin, and petite frame all I could think of doing is throwing her over my shoulder and taking her to my apartment to have my way with her. And, if her looks aren’t enough she’s making it abundantly clear that she’d be down for a good time with her flirtatious comments and seriously eye fucking me.

Damn it, I need to get it together. I can’t throw everything away for some gal I just met. No matter how unbelievably gorgeous she is or how badly she wants it. I can’t.

“I didn’t catch your name before darlin’,” I say as we slide into plush seats in the trendy coffee place that is just around the corner from the tutoring center.

She shoots me another seductive smile and takes a sip of her coffee making sure to lick her lips nice and slowly afterwards.

Holy mother of god, my dick is now straining against my zipper wondering what those lips would feel like wrapped around it. Focus damn it. I clear my throat and take a sip of my black coffee.

“Remy,” She says finally.

Remy, for some reason that fits her. It’s sexy and spunky.

“So Remy,” I try out her name and her pupils dilate with lust. “What subject were you looking for tutoring in.”

She blushes and looks around as though she’s afraid people will hear that she’s seeking tutoring.
“Calculus,” She says after a minute, avoiding my gaze.

“Calculus is a difficult class there’s no reason to be embarrassed for needing help,” I assure her.

She chews on her bottom lip anxiously. I want to reach over and lick it all better.

I shake these thoughts away. I think I’ve officially reached my celibacy limit.

“I usually like to start by having you bring me your recent homework so we can look over where you might be struggling. You can also bring any practice problems you’ve been working on so I can get a sense of where we need to focus.”

She nods once still looking embarrassed.

“Okay, when are you available next?” She asks.

I open up the calendar on my phone to check my schedule.

“I can do Tuesday at noon, does that work for you?”

“Yeah, that sounds perfect.”

Her phone buzzes and she pulls it out to read a text message. I can’t help but glance at her screen as well.

Nikki: Bad Wolf grand opening tonight, love you

She types by just the letter ‘K’ and then puts her phone back away.

“Sorry about that.” She takes another sip of her coffee and then meets my gaze again finally. “So what’s your major Dex?”

“Theoretical physics,” I answer and watch her eyes bug out in surprise. I love that reaction, it’s the one I always get when I tell people my major. “Surprised?”

“I guess I just didn’t know that theoretical physicists could be so sexy. I pegged you more as a cowboy,” She says with a giggle and then twirls a strand of her hair around one finger.

I can’t help but laugh at the blatant flirting.

“What’s so funny?”

“Sorry, it’s just…” I look down and try to choose my words carefully. “You’re a beautiful woman and it’s just kind of funny that you think you need to try so hard to be attractive.”

Her eyes flash with annoyance.

“I have to go,” She says standing up quickly.

Damn, I  pissed her off.

“I’m sorry darlin’, I didn’t mean to offend you,” I try to apologize.

“No, it’s fine. I’ll just see you on Tuesday at noon.” She gives me a fake smile and then turns to sauter out swaying her hips in an all too enticing manner.
